On 8 October 2024 CHINALUX, in collaboration with A&O Shearman, hosted an insightful seminar on “Investment Opportunities and Trends in the Asia Infrastructure Market.” Sponsored by A&O Shearman, a CHINALUX Founder Member, the event provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the growing opportunities in the Asia-Pacific infrastructure sector.

The seminar kicked off with a welcome speech from Ms. Zhujun Xie, President of CHINALUX, who emphasized the importance of this topic in light of the ongoing growth and innovation across the Asia-Pacific region. She welcomed guests and set the tone for a productive and informative evening.

Next, a panel discussion featuring industry experts delved into key regions in the Asia-Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. The panelists, including Ms. Miao Wang, Partner at A&O Shearman, and Mr. John Lee, Head of Legal at Macquarie Asset Management Luxembourg, explored investment opportunities in sectors such as digital infrastructure, renewable energy, transportation, and environmental infrastructure. Mr. Jacques Bortuzzo, Vice President of CHINALUX, moderated the discussion, ensuring a lively and engaging conversation.

In addition to regional insights, the seminar also focused on emerging trends in Asia infrastructure funds, such as the rise of infrastructure debt funds, sector-specific strategies, and the growing interest in infrastructure secondaries funds.
