On 18 March, CHINALUX hosted an insightful event exploring China’s latest Five-Year Development Plan and its implications for businesses both in China and globally. The event was kindly sponsored by EY Luxembourg, a founding member of CHINALUX.

Mr. Jacques Bortuzzo, President of the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, delivered the welcome address.

We were honoured to welcome H.E. Mr. Hua Ning, Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg, who delivered a comprehensive and informative presentation outlining China’s priorities and strategic direction for the next five years.

The programme also featured an engaging panel discussion and Q&A session, addressing key topics such as economic policy, European perspectives, and Luxembourg’s strategic advantages as a gateway for international business.

Mr. Antoine Le Bars, Partner at EY Luxembourg, moderated the panel discussion, with Mr. Chris Hollifield, Head of Business Development at Luxembourg for Finance, Ms. Xin Zhao, Head of Investment Banking Department at ICBC (Europe) S.A., and Ms. Hui Gao, Head of China Desk Europe at TMF Group, contributing as panellists.

Ms. Jingya Tian, Vice President of the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, led the Q&A session.

A special thank you to Ms. Lilia Leung, who brought an innovative touch to the event with a robot and robotic dog demonstration.

The session concluded with a networking reception, offering attendees valuable opportunities to connect and exchange views.
