On September 18 2024, CHINALUX held its annual “Welcome Back Members Cocktail,” welcoming members to reconnect and celebrate the Chamber’s continued growth. Sponsored by Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), a founding member, the event highlighted CHINALUX’s role in fostering strong China-Luxembourg business ties.

The gathering brought together key figures from the Chinese and Luxembourgish business communities, providing opportunities for networking and new partnerships.

The event kicked off with a speech from Mr. Jeffrey Dentzer, CEO of BIL, welcoming guests back to business after the summer break and reaffirming BIL’s long-standing commitment to CHINALUX. He underscored Luxembourg’s importance as a European financial hub for Chinese enterprises, as well as the increasing interest of Luxembourgish businesses in the Chinese market.

Next, Ms. Zhujun Xie, President of CHINALUX, expressed sincere gratitude for BIL’s continuous support, particularly for making this event possible. She extended her best wishes to all attendees for a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival and encouraged participation in upcoming CHINALUX events. These include the China-bound business mission in November, organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, which will feature an exclusive event for ChinaLux members. Additionally, she announced a CHINALUX Gala dinner scheduled for 27 February 2025, warmly inviting members to attend.

Ms. Yuan Wang, Mme la Chargée d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Luxembourg, reiterated the embassy’s support for CHINALUX and highlighted the diplomatic importance of the China-Luxembourg relationship. She emphasized the value of continued collaboration between the two nations in the coming years.

Mr. Jacques Bortuzzo, Vice President of CHINALUX, introduced six new corporate members:

These new corporate members reflect CHINALUX’s efforts to diversify its network and offer expanded resources for its members.

In closing, Mr. Jacques Bortuzzo thanked all attendees for their presence and expressed his excitement about the upcoming events. He encouraged everyone to join the next CHINALUX event on 8 October, an inspiring event organized with A&O Sherman focusing on Asian Infrastructure, which promises to be another opportunity for meaningful discussions and networking.
