The Chamber’s primary motivation, as reflected in the logo, is the further development of the China-Luxembourg bilateral business relationships. "When it comes to international business, we're talking about different cultures and different ways of doing business”, said Dirk Dewitte, President of Chinalux and Tax partner and China Service Group Leader at Deloitte, Luxembourg. “The new China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce will be an excellent platform to network, to enhance cultural exchange and to tie the bonds between the two economies.”
The goal of ChinaLux is to strengthen business relationships and to achieving strong growth in business and investments between the two countries. It has the mission to activate, promote and support trade initiatives between Luxembourg and China and to provide a framework from which the collaboration of the two economies can work together to capture and develop sustainable opportunities for mutual business in- and outbound China. ChinaLux will act as facilitator in liaising between its members and official bodies in Luxembourg, China and other countries, as well as national or international organizations doing business with China. It will also build a knowledge base, providing its members with valuable information in relation to economic missions, contact persons, service propositions and other literature.
The twenty founding member all believe that Chinalux will be a key conduit to understand the needs of the Chinese/Luxembourg business community and to attract new business and investments in- and outbound China. All members agree that their membership will allow them to develop stronger opportunities of business.

The Board of Directors and the president of Chinalux were elected upon the inauguration on 31 May 2013. Dirk Dewitte will lead this chamber as President. The Board is composed of eight Chinese speakers and eight non-Chinese speakers; a combination that will ensure a diversified approach to taking the challenges of the bilateral business between China and Luxembourg. Further an Advisory Board, consisting of high-level profiles will be advising the Executive Board.
ChinaLux will soon launch its activities with a series of events including a conference discussing the Internationalization of the RMB and related challenges and opportunities.
