We are delighted to share the successful signing of the MOUs between the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (CHINALUX) and the Shanghai Huangpu Overseas Friendship Association as well as CHINALUX and the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Federation on 28 November, marking a significant step towards fostering international cooperation and innovation.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Mrs. Zheng Lu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Huangpu District, who highlighted the importance of partnerships in driving progress. Ms. Zhujun Xie, President of CHINALUX, delivered an inspiring speech underlining the shared vision of collaboration and mutual growth. This was followed by remarks from Mr. Jack Liu, President of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association Benelux Branch, who expressed enthusiasm for the opportunities this partnership will bring.

The event featured an engaging introduction to the Huangpu District by Ms. Wang Jun, Deputy Director of the Huangpu District Commission of Commerce, showcasing its dynamic environment and opportunities for innovation. Mrs. Shi Na represented Mr. Fernand Ernster, President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, providing insights into the Chamber’s activities and shared her experience of her life in Shanghai and Luxembourg, Mr. Jacques Bortuzzo, Vice President of CHINALUX, shared a detailed overview of Luxembourg’s financial and investment environment, highlighting its appeal to international enterprises.

CHINALUX President, Ms. Zhujun Xie, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Shanghai Huangpu Overseas Friendship Association. Mr. Geoffrey Party, as signature representative from CHINALUX, signed an MOU with the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Federation.

Shanghai and Luxembourg enterprises showcased their expertise, fostering dynamic discussions and paving the way for future collaborations. Notable presentations included Shanghai Information & Software Inc. and Mr. Guy Lippert representing Luxcontrol SA, highlighting innovative solutions and opportunities for cross-border partnership.
