Despite the wintry conditions, CHINALUX, in collaboration with LPEA, successfully hosted the first event of the year at Hotel Le Royal. The focus was to facilitate a comprehensive discussion on the private equity market in China. This exclusive gathering, co-organized with LPEA, bore testament to our commitment to fostering insightful conversations within the industry. On behalf of CHINALUX, Ms. Zhujun Xie, President of CHINALUX, welcomed the presence of everyone. Ms. Xie expressed great pleasure to meet everyone for the first event of the year and hope that today’s speaker’s introduction and discussion will be helpful to everyone in developing PE business in China and Europe. Next, Mr. Stephane Pesch, CEO of LPEA, gave a welcome speech and further introduced the main speakers.

Ms. Ying White, Head of Funds and Investment Management at Clifford Chance China, gave an introduction on the Chinese private equity market, along with the business and economic environment. She talked about various strategies for fund managers to access the China market, navigating through crises and emphasizing the current opportunities for EU managers and funds. The discussion provided concise insights into crucial aspects of market entry, resilience, and strategic advantages for European and global entities.

After the speech, a panel discussion took place. Mr. Daniel Wang, Managing Partner of Tuspark, and Oliver Benner, Head of Strategic Development at BIL Asset Services, explored the advantages of Luxembourg as a European hub for investors.
