On 1st October, CHINALUX held its first virtual members cocktail over Zoom to celebrate China’s National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, with members and friends enjoying “together” a Surprise Culinary Tasting Box! We were delighted to be joined by the new Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg, HE Mrs. YANG Xiaorong, and recently returned former Consul General of Luxembourg in Shanghai & Executive Director at Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office Shanghai, Luc Decker.

The webinar began with a welcome by Zhujun (King) XIE, CHINALUX President, and speeches from Ambassador YANG and Luc Decker (the Ambassador’s speech as well as a short article are available here on the Chinese Embassy in Luxembourg WeChat). Following, Luxembourgish gastronomy legends Henri Ruppert and Christian Kaempff introduced the surprise contents of the tasting box and shared their China-Luxembourg stories, with moderation and translations by CHINALUX Vice Presidents Jacques Bortuzzo and Christine Rehfeldt.
